Vegas and lingerie

You can’t go wrong with that combination and the best place to see this combination work is at the International Lingerie Show (ILS).

As always, the ILS team puts on a great show and from September 19 – 21, we saw a lot of great offerings and new brands at the show. Traffic was a little slow, but the majority of the exhibitors we talked to said it worked to their benefit as the buyers at the show were there to do business.

And with over 200 different exhibitors, there was a little bit of everything from packaged lingerie by Dreamgirl to Costumes by Rubies for just about every wholesale price point for visiting buyers .

Notable Debuts
A few brands debuted new items and offerings at the show including Seven Til Midnight which offered its new Holiday 2012 collection, new Panty Packs and Glove collection.

Überlube, a new line of high-end personal lubricants made it’s ILS debut with an impressive product. Überlube is silicone-based and designed to transfer sensation and to dissipate across the skin when it’s not being used.

Claudette also made it’s debut with its beautiful lingerie collection at ILS’s Miranda room and both buyers and press were drawn to this classy and sexy brand.

Distributor Eldorado debuted new styles from Dreamgirl, René Rofé, Queen of Hearts, Magic Silk, Forplay, Daisy Corsets, and many more. They also had some exciting partnerships “Partnering with Pipedream to host the worldwide premier of the Fetish Fantasy Lingerie line proved to be a worthwhile alliance for both companies. As always, it was great to see everyone and meet so many new people in the industry,” said Larry Garland, CEO of Eldorado.

On the health and beauty front, System by Jo debuted its Dona by Jo collection of high-end bath and body products. It’s an impressive and beautifully presented collection at some great price points (under $20 retail). For details, contact Brent Aldon at brent@systemjo.com.

Toys, Toys, Toys!
One of the biggest trends we’ve been noticing going to ILS is the explosion of creativity and offerings from Adult Toy manufacturers. At the show, we ran into the Vibratex team and talked to them a little bit about their new offerings. Shay Martin was kind enough to do a video interview with us to talk about Vibratex’s new product, the Violet.

Wet For Her is another brand that stood out for us at the show that also made their ILS debut. The Paris-based company manufactures adult novelties for women who identify as lesbian, bi-sexual, queer, or transgender. Wet for Her also recently teamed up with Eldorado.

Halloween Deals
This edition of the show was also an opportunity for buyers to do some last minute costume and novelty buying a month before Halloween. And there were a lot of companies offering show specials just for them as well. Something to keep in mind if you’ve wanted to visit the September edition of ILS.

There’s also a certain vibe to ILS that you just can’t get anywhere else. So we’re already looking forward to the next edition of ILS to be held at the Rio Hotel from March 26 to 28, 2012 and again on Sept. 10 to 12, 2012.

We’ll see everyone there (and at the iBar)!
